NARCISSUS BLUES, In Progress
In the wake of the Covid pandemic, a British homosexual student living in Bergen, Norway carries out his daily routines - to a fault.
The film is inspired by Chantal Akerman's 'Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles' and is concerned with the loneliness pandemic, exhibitionism and voyeurism in social media, and how a capitalist culture of self-improvement can be experienced as sadomasochistic towards the body.
Narcissus Blues was shot alone over two weeks and is currently in post-production.
